Scott Got a Gho

When Scott first got into the country, we immediately went gho shopping, but more importantly, we went gho-trying-on, as it's the putting on that's the tricky part. So tricky that it requires the help of others. Here is Scott getting help from the owner of the store that I bought my kiras from.

Even though the gho appears short - when put on, it falls roughly to a man's knees - it's actually really long. The material falls almost to the floor.

First, you have to fold one sleeve so that the white of the inner shirt shows a certain amount.

Then, the other sleeve gets folded.

Next, you must fold the left side of the robe over the right and make sure certain parts line up with other certain parts.

Then comes the tying of the belt, which must be tight. Otherwise, you risk having the whole gho fall apart.

After the belt is tied, the gho must be bloused out so that the belt does not show.

Voila!

The look on Scott's face while they're dressing him speaks volumes.

The "gho" is quite an interesting piece of clothing. Scott had to go through quite the process to be dressed, but the final product looked nice and professional. The look on his face throughout the entire process was priceless.
