Wayanda, Kerala Hill Station

After climbing to the top of Phantom Rock, Scott and I found ourselves in a curious predicament – ALONE. We were completely and utterly alone. Just us, no one else. After having local coffee with Indian workers we met, we started scrambling our way up to the top of Phantom Rock around 4:45 and, once there, saw the best view of Wayanad – greenness, boulders crazily balanced atop one other, and the Western Ghats. In this dizzying crowded country of 1.3 billion people, within a tourist hotbed, we found something great to do alone, with no guide, no one else at all. Amazing.
